Welcome to Taan's website
Chatranant “Taan” Savigamin is an artist who is inspired by her surroundings. Living close to the ocean and spending time in the forests of Thailand, she observes the joyful interplay of light and shadow to create her artwork by using 3 major mediums: oil pastels, watercolors, and acrylic. Art was a focus in her upbringing, being introduced to oil pastels while in grade school. Studying art and design at college in Florida, Taan afterward continued her training with local artists in her native Thailand. The black and white photographs she uses in the studio evoke an impression of the moment, adding life experiences and imagination to bring color, movement, and harmony to her paintings.

เป็นศิลปินที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากสิ่งรอบตัวเธอ อาศัยอยู่ใกล้ทะเลและชอบใช้เวลาในป่า ฉันเฝ้าดูความสนุกสนานของการละเล่นระหว่างแสงและเงา เพื่อสร้างงานจิตรกรรม วัสดุที่ใช้ประจำคือ สีชอล์คน้ำมัน สีน้ำ และ สีอะคริลิค ตั้งแต่เด็กๆ อยู่ในกรุงเทพก็ได้เรียนสีชอล์คน้ำมัน ได้เรียนศิลปะในมหาวิทยาลัยที่สหรัฐอเมริกาและต่อเนื่องด้วยการเรียนรู้จากครูบาอาจารย์ในประเทศไทย รูปถ่ายขาวดำ จะนำมาซึ่งความรู้สึกของ ขณะ ชั่วขณะ ขณะนั้นๆในการเขียนภาพในสตูดิโอ บวกกับประสบการณ์ในชีวิตและการสรรสร้างสี ความเคลื่อนไหวรวมไปถึงความกลมกลืนกันให้กับจิตรกรรม
